Black History Film

Respect: Biggin’ Up Black History is an educational video for young people directed and produced by the Screens. Respect is about how people from Commonwealth countries like India, the West Indies and several African countries were involved in WWII: around 3 million African and Asian people fought on the side of Britain during WWII. To make the film appealing to young people we involved 6 young people in making the film, collaborating on research, doing interviews with war veterans and working on the music of the film.
